What is the use of TE's draw wire displacement sensor?

They are easy to install and are primarily used in applications requiring 2 to 1,700 inches (50 to 43,000 mm) of linear displacement measurement.

TE's wire-drawn displacement sensor portfolio includes standard off-the-shelf packages and custom design capabilities for OEM applications. Industrial packages have a measurement range of up to 43 meters and can be used indoors and outdoors; analog voltage outputs include: 4-20mA, voltage divider, 0-5V, 0-10V, ±5 Vdc and ±10 Vdc, and digital outputs include: DeviceNet, incremental encoder, and RS232; rugged metal sheaths and plastic packages for economical and compact applications, and open frame designs that meet OEM requirements for compact space; precision packaging with up to 0.05% accuracy and 0.02% test and measurement repeatability.
